Position Title:
Finance ModelerWork Arrangement: Remote - India
About the Role We are looking for a Financial Modeler to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in financial modeling, accounting, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills who can build and link full three-statement models, develop capital stacks, and clearly explain how financial assumptions flow through the statements. It is also helpful if the hire has experience
understanding businesses and can conduct detailed research on companies.
This is an execution-focused role that plays a key part in ensuring the quality and consistency of our financial models. You will be working closely with the internal team to standardize legacy models, build new models, input historical financials, and flow through key performance metrics to free cash flow — all within firm-provided templates.
This is not a valuation or forecasting role; rather, we’re looking for someone who can bring structure, cleanliness, and accuracy to Excel files that inform high-stakes decisions
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and update dynamic three-statement financial models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement)
- Develop and analyze capital structures including debt and equity schedules
- Rebuild, reformat, and standardize Excel financial models using company-provided templates
- Input historical financial data (revenue, EBITDA, capex, etc.) from company filings, reports, or legacy models
- Apply modeling adjustments from unadjusted to adjusted EBITDA
- Explain and present modeling logic and outputs clearly to stakeholders
- Ensure models are logical, accurate, and easy to audit
- Assist with ad hoc financial modeling and research related tasks
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Experience in financial modeling, investment banking, corporate finance, or valuation services
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles and how transactions impact all three statements
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g., dynamic formulas, scenario tools, error checks, data linking, model integrity)
- Strong English communication skills; able to articulate technical financial concepts clearly
- Experience building models from scratch, not just updating pre-made templates
- Willing to work full-time within US business hours
