Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fund Accountant to support the accounting and administration of hedge funds and private equity funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with net asset value (NAV) calculations, investment reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit and tax requirements.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional with hands-on hedge fund accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with timely net asset value (NAV) calculations for assigned client portfolios.
- Upload trades for multiple investment vehicles.
- Perform daily cash and investment position reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support NAV preparation and completion, including maintaining NAV, audit, and tax workbooks.
- Ensure fund income and expenses, including management are properly accrued in accordance with applicable accounting standards and fund offering documents.
- Review security prices for accuracy and ensure corporate actions are properly reflected.
- Prepare investor statements and financial statements.
- Support year-end audit and tax reporting by coordinating with clients and external auditors.
- Calculate capital calls and prepare investor notices.
- Respond to ad hoc client reporting requests and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Must-Have Requirements
- 2-4 years of fund accounting experience.
- Hands-on hedge fund accounting experience.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, NAV calculations, and cash and investment position reconciliations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Private equity fund accounting experience.
- Experience preparing financial statements and investor statements.
- Experience supporting year-end audits and tax reporting.
- Familiarity with investment instruments such as equities, bonds, and options.
- Experience using PAXUS and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Word.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong foundation in fund accounting and practical hedge fund experience. They should be comfortable working with investment data, maintaining accurate financial records, collaborating with client finance teams, and delivering high-quality work within established deadlines.
Work Setup Remote
Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed
Must work Night Shift from 9PM to 6am PH
