About the client (AU) An electrical engineering consultancy providing engineering services to EPCs and developers across the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility sectors. Our projects include rooftop solar systems, ground-mounted solar farms, and large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Position Overview The Electrical Drafter will work closely with engineers and project teams to produce high-quality technical drawings and documentation for utility-scale solar and battery projects. This role will play a key part in supporting project delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare and revise electrical drawings for utility-scale solar and BESS projects
- Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, cable routing drawings, and schematic diagrams
- Assist engineers with drafting and design documentation for grid-connected renewable energy projects
- Produce drawing packages in accordance with Australian standards and project specifications
- Maintain drawing registers and document control processes
- Coordinate drawing updates and revisions based on engineering feedback and project changes
- Support project teams during design, construction, and commissioning phases
- Ensure all drafting outputs are accurate, consistent, and delivered within project timelines
Requirements - Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter or CAD Drafter within the electrical, renewable energy, or utility sector
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience working on solar farm, renewable energy, substations, or utility infrastructure projects is highly preferred
- Understanding of electrical design principles and technical documentation standards
- Ability to interpret engineering calculations and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have - Experience with PV plant layouts, HV systems, or battery storage projects
- Exposure to Australian electrical standards and utility-scale project requirements
- Experience using additional drafting or design software such as PVsyst and SketchUp
Work Schedule (Dayshift) - Monday to Friday 7AM-4PM; Manila Time)
Work Setup (WFH) - Permanent Homebased
- Candidate's are expected to have a conducive (quiet, distraction-free) dedicated workspace
- Equipment will be provided by the company
