About the Role Our AU client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer with a strong focus on CQA documentation and reporting to support the delivery of geosynthetic lining projects across the mining, water, waste, environmental, and civil infrastructure sectors. The role combines Project Engineering with a strong focus on Construction Quality Assurance (CQA), with a strong emphasis on material quantification, panel layout development, tender support, scope reviews, and helping with the preparation of project quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation of project estimates, tenders, budgets, and cost plans.
- Undertake quantity take-offs and material quantification from drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and review geomembrane and geosynthetic panel layouts.
- Review client specifications, scopes of work, IFC drawings, and tender documents.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and opportunities during tender reviews.
- Assist with procurement planning, material scheduling, and project planning activities.
- Support the estimating team with technical assessments and tender submissions
- Contract review and administration
- Preparation of payment claims
- Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Work Method Statements (WMS), Quality
Management Plans, and associated project documentation. - Compile and maintain project quality records in accordance with client specifications and
company quality systems. - Assist with preparation of as-constructed CQA documentation packages for client submission.
- Assist with project compliance requirements and quality audits.
- Support project teams in maintaining compliance with project specifications, Australian
Standards, and client requirements. - Review engineering drawings, design documentation, and technical specifications.
- Provide technical support to Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and installation crews.
- Assist with project reporting, progress tracking, and document control.
- Support the continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures, and reporting
processes.
Skills & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical
Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable - Experience in geosynthetics, geomembrane lining, mining, water, waste, or civil construction
projects. - Experience preparing CQA documentation and quality assurance records.
- Familiarity with estimating, cost planning, and tender preparation processes.
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and quality management systems.
- Experience working within ISO 9001 accredited environments.
Work Schedule (Dayshift) - Monday to Friday 7AM-4PM; Manila Time
Work Setup (WFH) - Permanent Homebased
- Candidate's are expected to have a conducive (quiet, distraction-free) dedicated workspace
- Equipment will be provided by the company
