The Role Our UK client supplies and installs blinds, curtains and acoustic surfaces in commercial workplaces, mainly in London. Our customers are fit-out contractors, Tier 1 and Tier 2 main contractors, architects and designers. We design, specify, source, project manage and install with our own team. You will price these packages from drawings and specifications, turn enquiries around quickly, and give our sales and project teams numbers they can stand behind. The work is London office fit-out, so you need to know how UK final fix packages are measured, priced and programmed.
Responsibilities - Read UK drawings (general arrangements, reflected ceiling plans, elevations), specifications and finish schedules, and take off quantities for blinds, curtains, tracks and acoustic wall and ceiling finishes.
- Cost supply and installation, covering materials, installation labour, delivery and site costs, using in house spreadsheets and supplier pricelists.
- Request, chase and compare supplier quotations, and record the lead times and validity periods they give.
- Check fire performance and other compliance requirements against the specification and the supplier's test certificates, and flag any gap before a price is issued.
- State the assumptions, exclusions and clarifications with every estimate.
- Revise estimates quickly when drawings change or the customer asks for alternatives.
- Spot risks early, such as tight programmes, missing information and unclear scope, and tell the sales team with a suggested way forward.
- Look for added scope and repeat business with existing customers, and keep pricing for them consistent and fast.
- Record every estimate, revision and supplier quote in our CRM and shared folders so it can be found and repriced later.
- Hand over won projects to the project managers with the take-off, assumptions and supplier details.
Required Skills - At least 3 years' experience estimating for UK-based subcontractors on commercial interiors, fit-out, refurbishment or final fix packages.
- A working knowledge of the London construction market.
- Confident reading UK architectural drawings and specifications, and measuring on Bluebeam or similar software.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- English at C1 or above (C2 preferred), written and spoken. You will be on calls with UK contractors and suppliers, plus in-house teams.
- Commercial awareness: you understand how a price is built up and what makes it competitive.
- Able to work alone, manage your own day and meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills - Experience estimating final fix packages for subcontractors working for London-based Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors. Candidates with this experience will be prioritised.
- Experience estimating blinds, curtains or acoustic finishes. This is preferred but not essential.
- Experience of negotiating with suppliers.
- Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce, which we use.
- Ability to read CAD drawings.
Work Schedule (Mid-shift) - Monday to Friday (4PM-1AM; Manila time)
Work Setup (Office-based / Hybrid) - Open to our offices in Quezon City (Eastwood, Libis or SM North), Alabang (Filinvest), Clark (Pampanga)
