Medical Interpreter (Sonographer Support)


Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday


Role Overview
The Medical Interpreter supports the sonography team by assisting with administrative and operational tasks while providing Spanish medical interpretation. This role helps improve workflow efficiency and ensures clear communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide real-time Spanish-English medical interpretation for patient interactions (primarily via phone).
  • Support sonographers with administrative tasks to streamline imaging processes.
  • Assist with ultrasound coding and documentation as needed.
  • Manage and send medical records requests.
  • Maintain accuracy and organization in all assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical or healthcare environment.
  • Experience in medical interpretation (Spanish-English).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with medical systems and compliance standards.
Preferred
  • Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Athena or similar).
  • Previous experience supporting imaging or sonography teams.
