The Client A fast-growing SaaS scale-up on a mission to bring fair and transparent tipping to the global hospitality industry. Having doubled revenue year-on-year, we are now focused on the next phase of growth as part of our Series A funding.
The Role We are now seeking a highly detail-focused and organised .NET Quality Assurance Engineer. The role is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of software applications built using the Microsoft .NET framework (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core). They will work closely with developers in Agile environments to design, automate, and execute tests for backend services, APIs, and web-based interfaces.
Key Responsibilities - Test Planning & Design: Analyze requirements to create comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Azure DevOps tools, for C#-based frameworks.
- Functional & Technical Testing: Execute manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Database Validation: Perform SQL queries to validate backend data integrity and set up test data.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using Azure DevOps to verify fixes.
- Collaboration: Participate in Agile planning (sprints, stand-ups) to align on quality standards.
- Performance Testing: Conduct load and stress testing to evaluate system behavior under high traffic.
Required Skills & Qualifications - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the .NET framework, C# programming language, and ASP.NETCore.
- SQL Proficiency: Ability to write SQL queries for backend database testing.
- Testing Automation: Hands-on experience with automated testing tools using the Azure DevOps framework
- API Testing: Knowledge of testing RESTful web services.
- Methodologies: Experience with Agile/Scrum and understanding of the SDLC.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications - CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure DevOps for continuous integration/testing.
- Testing Certification: ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification.
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services.
- Front-end Testing: Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Other Job Requirements - Experience: 2+ years of experience in a software QA role.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Work Schedule - Monday - Friday 10AM-7PM, 11AM-8PM, or 12PM-9PM PH Time
