Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Retoucher to join the production pipeline of a growing studio specialising in high-end fashion and advertising imagery. This is a hands-on production role where tasks are assigned by a production lead and cycle through review and revision until sign-off. Early work is more repetitive and closely supervised, with scope and autonomy expanding as speed and trust are established. Working Location: Home-based setup
Work Schedule 7am-4pm MYT
Key Responsibilities: - Complete retouching tasks assigned by the production lead, from initial edit through to final sign-off
- Deliver exceptional skin retouching that preserves natural texture and tone, avoiding an over-smoothed or artificial look
- Build photorealistic composites from multiple source images, matching perspective, lighting, colour, and grain
- Apply sound colour management discipline consistently across the full production pipeline
- Prepare and deliver files correctly for both print and digital use, with attention to resolution, colour space, and format
- Incorporate AI-assisted retouching tools where appropriate, balancing them with traditional techniques based on sound creative judgement
- Coordinate with the production lead and wider team through review cycles, responding to feedback and revision requests promptly
Must-Have: - Strong fashion/advertising retouching portfolio, reflecting senior-level experience (6+ years)
- Exceptional skin retouching skills with a natural, non-plastic finish
- Proven experience creating photorealistic composites from multiple source images
- Solid understanding of colour science and colour management
- Strong grasp of digital file handling for print and digital delivery
- Excellent Wacom pen/tablet skills
- Working knowledge of current AI retouching tools
- Creative, out-of-the-box thinking rather than purely technical execution
- Ability to work autonomously once ramped up
Nice-to-Have: - A secondary creative skill alongside retouching, such as motion graphics, 3D, illustration, or animation
