Position Summary As a UK Credit Controller, you'll play a key role in managing the financial heartbeat of our client relationships. Your mission: safeguard cash flow by managing assigned sales ledgers, driving timely collections, ensuring accurate allocations, and minimizing financial risk. You’ll liaise with clients and debtors alike, blending assertiveness with a strong sense of service to maintain both compliance and trust.
Responsibilities - Perform collections via phone and email in line with company processes
- Meet personal and company cash collection and aging targets
- Monitor sales ledgers, ensuring debts are within agreed payment terms
- Investigate disputes early, raise credit notes when appropriate
- Conduct regular ledger reviews with Client Managers and agencies
- Initiate litigation processes when necessary, coordinating with legal partners
- Support credit insurance claims by providing accurate debtor data
- Allocate unallocated cash promptly and report weekly balances
- Verify debt to validate invoice accuracy and support timely payments
Qualifications - At least 2 years of credit control experience in a UK-based company
- Solid understanding of UK debtor litigation procedures
- Preferably holding a credit control-related qualification
- High attention to detail and accuracy in both manual and system-based tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Persistent, proactive, and professional demeanor
- Able to build relationships with clients and meet performance KPIs
- Capable of independently resolving tasks and managing complex escalations
