About the client and role (AU) We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with expertise in 2D AutoCAD drawings and a proven track record in designing low-rise commercial, residential, and industrial (Warehouses) projects in Australia. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of Australian Standards (AS codes) and be adept at providing detailed calculations, drawings, and complete structural model packages. Key Responsibilities - Design and analyze structural components and systems for low-rise commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards (AS codes).
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive structural calculation packages.
- Create and manage structural model packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Writing Engineering reports
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions.
- Perform structural calculations and simulations to validate design integrity and safety.
- Review and approve project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Mark-up in Bluebeam
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on low-rise commercial and residential projects in Australia.
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and structural design software such as SpaceGass, Structural Toolkit
- Knowledge of other structural engineering software is a bonus.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards (AS codes) and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Work Schedule (Dayshift) - Monday to Friday (6AM-3PM; Manila Time)
Work Setup (WFH) - Permanent Homebased
- Candidates will be required to have their personal device at home and own license in Bluebeam
- Candidates are required to have a stable/reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for BOTH download and upload speed.
