Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and lead the development of an innovative ML model. This role will involve working with spatially referenced masks and their RGB image counterparts to train a machine learning model capable of annotating map images with 15 different categories of interest. The final model will take in specified areas and output annotated geojson files.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning, experience in developing and deploying models, and a background in working with satellite imagery or geographic data. You’ll be working with a set of training images and will be responsible for building an accurate model that meets the project’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning models that work with spatially referenced masks and RGB images.
- Work closely with the data team to preprocess and label satellite imagery.
- Train models to annotate map images with specific categories of interest and output geojson files.
- Implement and improve existing ML pipelines to ensure scalability, performance, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the ML models into production environments.
- Ensure proper model documentation, including performance metrics and evaluation reports.
- Perform continuous monitoring and tuning of models to improve accuracy and generalizability.
Must-Have Skills: - Machine Learning: Experience with model development, training, and deployment.
- Expert ML Designer: Proven ability to design and implement ML models from scratch.
Nice-to-Have Skills: - AWS ML Model Experience: Experience working with AWS services.
- Python: Proficiency in Python programming, specifically with ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- SQL: Solid understanding of SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
