Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Broker Assistant to support our team in processing mortgage applications and ensuring a smooth loan process for clients. This role involves administrative tasks, client communication, and document management to help streamline the mortgage approval process. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the mortgage broker in gathering and reviewing client documents for loan applications.
  • Communicate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely submission of required paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the loan processing system.
  • Coordinate and follow up on outstanding documents and application status.
  • Prepare and submit loan applications to lenders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, emails, and phone calls on behalf of the broker.
  • Stay updated on mortgage industry guidelines and lender policies.
  • Perform general administrative duties, such as data entry, filing, and report preparation.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Previous experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and mortgage processing software (if applicable).
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations is a plus.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Prior experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, or administrative support (preferred).
