Role Summary:
We are seeking a Social Media Content Specialist to join the team and take ownership of building and growing the company's digital presence, with a primary focus on LinkedIn.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys content creation and social media management, with the opportunity to expand into broader marketing strategy and campaign ownership as the business scales. You will work closely with the leadership team to transform event insights, speaker content, and industry expertise into engaging content that drives brand awareness and event registrations.
 
Working Location: Home-based setup
Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (AEST) initially
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create LinkedIn-first content including posts, carousels, short-form videos, speaker announcements, sponsor highlights, and event promotions
  • Translate leadership insights and industry knowledge into compelling copy and simple visual assets (e.g., Canva)
  • Develop and manage a monthly content calendar aligned with event milestones and campaigns
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media channels
  • Schedule and publish content using tools such as HubSpot, Hootsuite, or Buffer
  • Monitor and engage with the online community, including comments, messages, and industry discussions
  • Track performance metrics (engagement, growth, conversions) and provide actionable recommendations
  • Continuously optimise content to improve reach, engagement, and event registrations
Must-Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management or content marketing
  • Strong written English skills, particularly for professional LinkedIn content
  • Experience in copywriting and basic graphic design
  • Proven ability to manage and maintain a content calendar
  • Familiarity with marketing/scheduling tools such as HubSpot, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a global team
  • Strong organisational skills, ownership mindset, and attention to detail
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience in B2B marketing, events, SaaS, professional services, or eCommerce
  • Basic video editing skills for short-form content
  • Experience supporting event marketing or conference promotion
