Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Analyst / Developer to support and enhance our client´s NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB) platform. This role is responsible for optimizing system performance, developing and maintaining calculation rules and scripts, supporting data integrations, and driving continuous improvement across the planning ecosystem.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in NSPB, Oracle EPM/Hyperion Planning, or Essbase, along with strong experience in multi-dimensional modeling, performance tuning, and system optimization. You will collaborate closely with FP&A, Accounting, and IT teams to deliver a reliable and high-performing planning and forecasting environment.

Performance Optimization & Multi-Dimensional Modeling:

• Act as the primary technical SME for NSPB application design, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
• Manage dimensions and metadata, including hierarchies, member properties, aliases, and attributes.
• Optimize calculation performance, aggregation processes, and business rules.
• Improve data retrieval performance within Smart View and NSPB UI by optimizing queries, grids, and filters.
• Conduct performance diagnostics using logs (query, calculation, data load, aggregation).
• Recommend enhancements to cube design, dimensional structure, sparse/dense settings, and caching strategies.
• Perform periodic cube restructures to ensure optimal system performance as models evolve.

Rule & Script Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain NSPB business rules, data maps, and calculation logic.
• Translate FP&A requirements into scalable, high-performance calculation models (e.g., allocations, driver-based models, FX conversions, eliminations).
• Build and optimize complex calculation scripts, including Hybrid/BSO-style logic tailored to NSPB architecture.
• Automate recurring processes such as workforce planning, CapEx modeling, revenue forecasting, and allocations.

Data Integration & Automation:

• Manage and optimize data integrations between NetSuite ERP, NSPB, and third-party systems.
• Support Planning & Budgeting Sync and EPM Connector processes, including troubleshooting data mappings and import jobs.
• Develop automation routines for metadata updates, data refreshes, and scheduled processes.
• Implement transformation logic using SQL, Python, Power Query, or ETL tools as needed.

Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis:

• Serve as an escalation point for system issues, performance degradation, and integration failures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for data inconsistencies, calculation errors, and system inefficiencies.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, validation scripts, and performance monitoring dashboards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with FP&A and Accounting teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support planning cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual) by ensuring system readiness and stability.
• Train end users on Smart View, data validation, and troubleshooting best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for rules, integrations, metadata, and system changes.

Qualifications Required:

• 3–6+ years of experience supporting EPM, planning, or forecasting systems in a technical capacity.
• Advanced English Level (B2-C1)
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB) or Oracle EPM tools (EPBCS, Hyperion Planning).
• Strong understanding of multi-dimensional modeling (BSO/Hybrid) and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience developing and optimizing:
  • Calculation scripts (Calc Manager)
  • Groovy rules
  • Business rules, forms, and data maps
  • Metadata and data management automation
• Proven experience improving aggregation times, query performance, and cube optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel/Power Query, and Smart View.

Preferred:

• Experience with Oracle Essbase (BSO/ASO), including calc scripts, load rules, and outline tuning.
• Background in financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, or workforce planning.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP (Saved Searches, Planning Sync, data import optimization).
• Scripting/automation experience in Python, VBA, or ETL tools.
• Knowledge of FX translation, intercompany eliminations, and driver-based planning models.
